“Problematic Texts” for Definite Atonement in the Pastoral and General Epistles by Thomas R. Schreiner

“Problematic Texts” for Definite Atonement in the Pastoral and General Epistles by Thomas R. Schreiner. If those “problematic texts” really mean every individual person on Earth, then, according to that interpretation of some passages, every person on Earth will be saved (the universal salvation heresy) or God is incapable of accomplishing His desire that all people be saved and His will is thwarted (making those who successfully thwart His will sovereign over God).

  1. However, you and I <WILL certainly see eye to eye about stuff like this. I’d like to ask Schreiner what happened to his kid. Unless maybe the old man’s conscience is just as dead. Not saying that’s the case, but just wondering out loud. His theology and exegetical skills are first rate, but I’ve learned that that does NOT mean a flippin thing today.
